What is a PDF sewing pattern?
A PDF pattern is a digital sewing pattern you can download instantly after purchase. It’s identical to a printed pattern, just in digital form — ready to print at home (A4 / US Letter) or at a print shop (A0 / 90cm format).
How do I place my order?
Simply choose your pattern, add it to your cart, and complete checkout. Once your payment is confirmed, download links will be sent to your email automatically.
What does the PDF file contain?
Each purchase includes A4, US Letter, and A0 / 90cm print shop files — plus a sewing video tutorial link to guide you step by step.
Are seam allowances included?
Most Modella Patterns include a 1 cm seam allowance. Some patterns do not include seam allowances, and this will always be clearly stated on the pattern itself. Please check the pattern markings before cutting.
Which patterns are best for beginners?
If you're new to sewing, we recommend starting with the Hobo Bag or Serena Pants patterns — both are simple, rewarding, and easy to complete even for first-time sewists.
How do I print and assemble my pattern?
Use the A4 or US Letter files for home printing, or the A0 / 90cm version for a print shop. Print at “100% scale” (not fit to page), trim the edges, and tape the pages together following the layout guide.
How do I choose my size?
Refer to our Size Chart for accurate measurements. Use a soft measuring tape and compare your bust, waist, and hip measurements to select the closest size. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger one.
Can I sell the items I make from your patterns?
Yes, you may sell finished garments you’ve made using Modella Patterns. However, the digital files themselves may not be shared, resold, or redistributed in any form.
Can I post my creations on social media?
Absolutely! We love seeing your work. You can freely share your sewn items on Instagram, YouTube, or blogs — and we’d appreciate it if you mention @modellapattern or tag #modellapattern in your post so others can discover our patterns too!
Are instructions included?
Written instructions are not provided, but each pattern includes a detailed video tutorial. You’ll find the video link inside your downloaded files.
Can I get a refund or exchange for a PDF file?
Due to the digital nature of PDF products, refunds or exchanges are not available after download. However, if you experience any issue with your files, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
